Call (479) 434-5852 Try Live Assist — $20 AI diagIf you own a 2007+ GM truck or SUV with a 5.3L or 6.2L V8 — Silverado, Sierra, Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Escalade — Active Fuel Management is a ticking clock. We tune out and/or delete the AFM/DOD system before a lifter collapses and takes the cam with it. Done right, this saves a $7,000+ repair.
Already heard the tick? We do the full cam-swap repair: pull the lifters, replace the cam, replace the VLOM (valve lifter oil manifold) tray and bolts, clean every passage, and lock out AFM in tune so it can never come back. Out-the-door pricing, parts shown up front.
Cam tunes, AFM/DOD disable, MAF/VE table corrections, idle/drivability cleanup, mild performance tunes. We tune what we install — no mail-order surprises.
Check engine lights, drivability issues, brakes, suspension, scheduled maintenance, electrical gremlins. All makes, all models.

The AFM/DOD lifter failure on the GM Gen IV / Gen V V8 is one of the most-Googled engine problems in America. Most chain shops either don't know how to tune it out cleanly, or they just throw a cam at it without addressing the VLOM and oil-passage contamination — which puts the customer right back where they started in 30,000 miles. We've done this job enough times to fix it once and for good.
