Dr Underhood Live Assist ("the App") is operated by Dr Underhood Automotive Specialist, located at 5300 Towson Ave, Fort Smith, AR 72901, United States. You can reach us any time at doc@drunderhood.com.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the App, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Photos and videos you capture. When you use the App to snap a photo of a vehicle issue or stream live video for a diagnosis, those captures are sent to our diagnostic service and stored with your session record so you can view the results later.

Vehicle information. VIN, year/make/model, and any notes you add about the problem.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not see or store your full card number. We do receive a record that a payment was completed so we can unlock your session.

Account information (shop staff only). If you sign in as shop staff, we store your email, a salted/hashed password, and your role (owner, technician).

Anonymous device identifier. We store a random per-device ID in your browser so we can enforce the one-time free-trial. This ID is not tied to your name, email, or phone number.

Technical logs. Standard server logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps, error traces) kept for abuse prevention and troubleshooting.

• To run the AI diagnosis you requested and return results to you. • To process payments and unlock paid sessions. • To let shop staff collaborate on a vehicle's history. • To prevent abuse of the one-time free trial. • To improve the App's accuracy and reliability.

Service providers: OpenAI (for the AI diagnosis engine), Stripe (for payments), and the hosting provider that runs our servers. These providers process information on our behalf and are contractually required to protect it.

We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use it to build cross-site advertising profiles.

Session records (photos, diagnoses, timeline) are retained so you can refer back to a completed job. You can ask us to delete any session at any time by emailing doc@drunderhood.com. Staff accounts are kept as long as the account is active.

You may request a copy of your data, correction of anything inaccurate, or deletion of your records by emailing doc@drunderhood.com. We respond within 30 days.

The App is not directed at anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Passwords are salted and hashed with bcrypt. Traffic is protected with TLS in transit. Payments are handled by Stripe and never touch our servers. No system is perfectly secure; if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we will notify you promptly.

If we make a material change to this policy we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. Continued use of the App after that means you agree to the updated policy.
